I spent most of the week reading THE BIG BOOK OF THE CONTINENTAL OP by Dashiell Hammett, which contains all of the Op stories. Since the book was published last November and since I don't really consider the Contintental Op to be "forgotten," I felt doing an FFB post on it would be cheating. (Nonetheless, it's a great book and highly recommended!)
Kevin, the flu passed me by but it did hit my bride several weeks ago. Under no circumstances would I ever call my wife miserable, but...let's just say that I am muy simpatico for you and Scott.
