I hope so. We're visiting my brother and his family in Massachusetts. I'm looking forward to connecting with them, especially my two grand-nieces, age 2 and 6 months. I'm also approaching the visit with trepidation as I am not sure how far long my brother's Alzheimer's has progressed. Kenny was always super-smart, super-funny, and super-connected with the world and seeing him like this is sure to bring a lot of tears and major resentment about fate and the unfairness of the world.
TM: I can only sympathize, as both my parents eventually had varieties of dementia, and the extended family have had all three of the major sorts of that affliction. I grimly watch myself for early signs. May everyone be as much of themselves as possible, including the youngest ones.
