Jim Al-Khalili is a British-Iraqi theoretical physicist. In 2014 Al-Khalili was named a RISE (Recognizing Inspirational Scientists and Engineers) Leader by Britain's Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council and is past-president of the British Humanist Association. He is currently Professor of Theoretical Physics and Chair in the Public Engagement of Science at the University of Surrey.
