OVERLOOKED TELEVISION: SEEING THINGS -- SPECTACLE OF INDIA

Seeing Things was a quirky Canadian mystery series the appeared for six seasons during the 1980s.  Louis Del Grande stars as Toronto newspaper man Louis Ciccone who solves murder through "postcognition," an extrasensory power that allows him piecemeal information about the past.  Only by interpreting one clue will he have a vision of a following clue.  He's aided by Crown Attorney Heather Redfern (Janet-Laine Green) and by his ex-wife Marge (Martha Gibson).

When first aired the show was "the most successful home-grown show in Canada," winning a number of awards.  In the US the series was aired on PBS, where I first saw it and fell in love with the series.

"Spectacle of India" first aired on March 10, 1987, and was the 38th  (out of 43) episode of the show.
It was directed by George McCowan and written by Bill Lynn and Bill Hartley.

Enjoy.
