R.I.P. PAT DERBY

Pat Derby, the animal trainer (Flipper, Lassie, etc.) turned animal activist, has died at age 69 of cancer.

Her 1974 memoir/autobiography The Lady and Her Tiger was co-authored by Peter S. Beagle.
