I've run into a reference to 10.30 to Folkstone Express, a Sax Rohmer novel supposedly published by Lloyds (London) sometime around 1915, but I have not been able to find anything to show this book actually exists. Is this a phantom book?
Any help would be appreciated.
I miss Bob Briney. I'll bet he could tell you.
ReplyDeleteBill, even those who didn't know Bob Briney miss him.
ReplyDeleteMy brother, the computer genius, solved this one pretty quick. "Ten-thirty Folkestone Express" was actually a short story by Rohmer, published in the December 1914 issue of Lippincott's Magazine. So, not a novel, not really a phantom title. Thanks, Ken.
It was a story and a book. Not a novel, but a collection of stories including the title story and other early rare Rohmer titles such as "The Camera Mystery" and "A Deal in Wheat."
