OVERLOOKED OATER: BORDER FEUD (1947)

When I was a kid one of my favorite western heroes was Lash LaRue.   The guy had a whip --  how cool was that?

Bad guy Jack Barton (Bob Duncan) is behind the scenes, starting a feud between the Harts and the Condons, joint owners of a gold mine.  Barton figures if the two families kill each off, the mine will be easy pickings for him.  Mesa City Sheriff  "Fuzzy" Q. Jones (Al St. John, in a role he played in dozens of westerns) sends for his friend Marshal Cheyenne Davis, a.k.a. The Cheyenne Kid (LaRue) to put a stop to the shenanigans.

This one was uploaded to YouTube by our ol' buddy Evan Lewis.

Enjoy.
