OVERLOOKED TELEFILM: WHEN MICHAEL CALLS (1972)

The John Farris thriller made it to television in this Philip (The Waltons, Fantasy Island, Falcon Crest) Leacock-directed made for TV flick.  Ben Gazarra, Elizabeth Ashley, and Michael Douglas combine their talents to make this nerve-shattering picture of a woman who gets phone calls supposedly from her nephew who died fifteen years previously; with each telephone call, someone dies.

James Bridges (The China Syndrome, The Paper Chase, Urban Cowboy) adapted Farris' novel.

Enjoy this little chiller.

  1. Don't remember this one. Good cast for TV at that time though. Although I guess Douglas was a TV actor then as were the others.
