STARS FELL ON ALABAMA

I'm getting too old to attend a Jimmy Buffett concert.  I'm at the point where I like listening to the music and not the antics of those in the audience, drunk or sober*.

Yes, I fear I am a geezer.

Nonetheless I still like the songs he sings, and this is one of the best.

*When my daughter was working as an EMT, the Jimmy Buffett concerts would keep her busy all through the concert.  Never volunteer to work Rescue if you want to listen to the music.

  1. I have always wanted to see a Jimmy Buffett concert and thought I would about five years ago in Fort Lauderdale. However, a family emergency in Canada kept me home so I gave the tickets to a friend. Last spring I was back in Florida when he was doing a show in West Palm Beach. Planned to go, but the only tickets available were on the grass and the venue was warning people about the antics of the crowd if they bought them. Opted to pass so I guess my Jimmy Buffett concerts will be in my basemant when I play his CDs and have a quiet beer. In fact that happened last Thrusday night.

  3. We saw him in concert in Charlotte, Kent, and we had lawn tickets. Unfortunately, there were a few drunks being obnoxious, a few drunks puking, and a few off-putting fist fights. Since then, we've also limited our Buffett time to CDs.
