My mother used to sing this, but I first heard it sung by pros in some Debbie Reynolds and Carelton Carpenter (who later became a mystery writer).
That was in the 1950 film TWO WEEKS IN LOVE, Bill. Helen Kane's recording came a year later, in 1951.I have some of Carpenter's mysteries lying around. I really should read them.
