UP ALL NITE

Two nights with the Kangaroo, also known as He Who Shall Not Sleep, have left me a tad tired.  Also has left me unable to finish writing today's Forgotten Book post.  (**Perks up ears.  Listens.  Nothing.  No sound of the world coming to an end.  Oh, well**)

Regular programming to return soon.  Same Bat Time.  Same Bat Station.

  1. Bounce bounce bounce. Yes, the early timestamp on mine today is an artifact of my late contraction of the chest cold (and hacking cough) going around. Woke myself up and decided to write. More the fool I.

  2. Upcoming pledge program on public television to possibly lift spirits (if you don't mind the Weavers-free commercial end):

This program will premiere nationwide beginning February 26 on public television (check local listings).

    “Hootenanny”
This new special presents the best performances from early 1960s musical variety series “Hootenanny,” featuring Johnny Cash, Judy Collins, the New Christy Minstrels, Jimmie Rodgers, Clara Ward Singers, Trini Lopez, Theodore Bikel, and many major voices in the folk music revival. Compiled by documentary filmmaker and musicologist Joe Lauro, who was responsible for unearthing the only surviving episodes of the original TV series, “Hootenanny” presents a cross section of the wonderful folk, country and gospel performances this legendary series brought into the living rooms of America.
